The Kobe VI is a very distinctive sneaker with a three-layer upper design and an inner layer of mesh material covering the instep. Many advanced technologies were used in the design of this shoe to create a pair of basketball shoes with excellent functionality.
Kobe asked the designer to create a pair of sneakers with excellent fit. In particular, the innovative double-layer memory foam insole can automatically adjust according to the player’s foot shape to improve the fit, bringing a unique, tailor-made fit experience. The Phylon injection molded midsole is more in line with the foot shape and provides better cushioning effect; Zoom air cushion units are added to the rear and forefoot to give players an extraordinary court comfort.
The Zoom KobeVI adopts a three-layer upper design that incorporates innovative Flywire technology. The innermost layer is a mesh material covering the instep, the middle layer uses Flywire technology, and the outermost layer is polyurethane bumps with mesh material to better prevent wear. This unique construction provides a lighter, more breathable, and more comfortable foot experience than the Flywire uppers used in the Kobe series before.
To ensure optimal traction, the Zoom Kobe VI features a hard rubber outsole with a modified sole pattern inspired by the Black Mamba. This new Zoom Kobe 6 Supre Rice is a tribute to Rice High School in Harlem, a school sponsored by Kobe Bryant. Featuring a black and metallic moss green upper, the polyurethane construction combines with a raised snakeskin pattern. Green apples bring contrast to the Swoosh and outsole, while a heel counter and Zoom cushioning support the fit. Rice’s logo appears on the medial side.
